Allan McLean
(Western District) Born at Arisaig, 6th May 1804, the son of Alexander McLean and Catherine McVarish; arrived in Valladolid from Lismore; ordained a priest in Cuéllar, 28th May 1836, and left for Scotland, 2nd September 1836; in Barra (twelve years), South Uist (four years), Fort Augustus (two years); went to Canada, 1854, and worked in Cape Breton Island, being in Judique, Cape Breton Is., from 1857 until his death there, 1st October 1877.
